Description

This task relates to the work of preparing a presentation to go over potential datasets or online resources that can be used for downscaling crop data. Ideally, these online resources are available at a large scale level (ideally globally), and there is a permissive license in place so that we can use the data in our system.

As part of this task, you can choose to focus on one particular data source (e.g. Open Street Maps) or at a number of different ones. Please keep us informed in the comments which data sources are looked at. The result should be a presentation that will be given at the upcoming sprint, where others are informed about the data that are available, the methods available to extract data, and ideally some examples catered to our chosen cities and crops. The goal is NOT to provide a final data proxy or downscaling method, but instead to illustrate what can be done with concrete examples and to inform others in the team who might not fully know about the chosen data source(s).

Aim for a ~10 minute presentation.
